Description:
Shown on a long block that will be running dual carbs, we've removed the heat riser flanges and welded the holes shut with bolts.
European looks with quiet muffler featuring 2 chrome tips that exit out the stock cut outs in the bug rear apron.
The chrome tips (16" apart outside to outside) have built-in resonators for that unique "GT" sound.
Comes complete with hardware & aluminum flex hose for your fresh air connection.
This 1 3/8" painted system fits bugs & Ghias 1300cc to 1600cc 66 through 73 and buses 63 through 71 with modification to your apron.
Empi packaged.
This header will require either heater boxes or J-tubes be used.
If you cut this muffler open and look inside, the serrated tube is what you see acting as the baffle.
Guys that race, are using this exhaust in their class 11's. They'll modify the muffler to allow less back pressure to develop.
Then they reassemble the muffler and bolt it back on the engine.
Exhaust systems or their components will not be accepted for return or credit if there is evidence of having been installed or used.
