Description:
Shown on an engine we built, note we mounted the coil pack on the back of the shroud and the wire fits around the shroud just fine if you put the distributor drive gear in 180 degrees off like we did. Very clean!
CompuFire DIS-IX kit w/ Yellow wire set electronic ignition system for 009 distributors, Opel's and Pinto's with Bosch distributors.
This is the complete big kit - 60,000+ volt. Comes with the coil shown, coil mount, high performance silicone spiral core wires (short ones are 18 3/4" & the long ones are 28"), cap, rotor and instructions. Other than mounting the coil with the bracket included, this kit is a snap to install.
Do not turn your engine over by hand with the key on, as this fires at ZERO RPM. Also sold as part# 11100 but we add a Y here for Yellow wires. Also known as part# 9420.
Many ask if this can be used on this engine or that engine. The answer is yes, for the VW air cooled engine.
