Compu-Fire DIS-IX kit w/ custom made wire set (compufire electronic ignition system) for the 009 distributors, Opel's and Pinto's with Bosch distributors.
This is the complete big kit - 60,000+ volt. Comes with the coil, coil mount, high performance Taylor Spiro Pro 8mm Purple wires (short ones are 18 3/4" & the long ones are 28"), cap, rotor and instructions.
Other than mounting the coil with the bracket included, this kit is a snap to install. Do not turn your engine over by hand with the key on, as this fires at ZERO RPM. Also sold as part# 11100 but we add a P here for Purple wires.
Special note: according to a customer of ours, this kit can work on the 050 distributor, with mods to the distributor.
Many ask if this can be used on this engine or that engine. The answer is yes, for the VW air cooled engine.
