These bug style precision ground high strength, solid bolt together rocker shafts (pair) have a floating (moveable - blue colored separate piece) center.
Doghouse prefers the floating center style shafts because it is easier to set up your rocker side play on the shaft while assembling your valve train.
Follow the directions regarding side play on the rockers and you can't go wrong.
Empi packaged with silver bolts on the shafts and gold bolts in the packaging.
Doghouse uses the gold bolts since they are a tad longer.
