These 4340 chromoly IRS race axles (33 splines) are engineered & designed to twist or spool up like a torsion bar to avoid damage to the transmission final drive & to keep the axle from snapping under extreme or race loads.
For high performance, drag & off road conditions.
This set is for you if: you have a bus tranny with bus flanges & cv's, and bug style trailing arms with bug stubs & cv's.
Because of the long splined areas on these axles, it is easy enough to send them out and have some trimmed off the length and a new retaining ring groove cut, if you want to shorten the overall length.
