This is the same design as the Empi shifter part# 4471 except the shaft is thick polished aluminum instead of round chrome steel.
Works in left hand drive (LHD) Type 1 cars only.
The handle has the Empi logo machined right into it's billet face and it's beautiful.

The plate beneath this shifter is very similar to the stock plate you'd find beneath a stock vw shifter.
This shifter and all of the other aftermarket shifters we sell, are not repairable.
