These gapless 2nd rings fit 3.622 grooves common on the Mahle 1.5 x 2 x 4 piston.
This is 2 rings per piston for the 2nd ring groove.
The design allows for combustion gas to press 1 ring against the other, which in turn presses the outer ring tighter up against the cylinder.
The combination of the 2 rings prevents blow by and oil contamination from fuel.
