engine compartment seal bug 67-74, Ghia 67-74. This seal can be described as kind of a J shape.
Commonly found on the bugs and Ghia's listed and Things, at the rear of the engine compartment (rear of the car).
This seal will test your patience to put in. My advise is have a friend help you.
Put them in tight, so that the J part does NOT hang down as shown here J. If it hangs down instead of swinging OUT, it will not contact your tins and create the seal you're looking for,
You'll need 1 of these and one of #98-8133-B firewall seals to do the entire engine compartment.

If your engine tin is 'flat even' with the groove the seal slides into, DON'T BUY THIS - BUY 3591-B
If your engine tin sits below the level of the groove the seal slides into, BUY THIS SEAL for the rear most portion of your engine compartment.
