Empi changed the stud length, so now these kits are simpler to install.
Empi packaged.
Shown is how I install these sumps. Note the bolt holding down the pickup tube. I use a bolt when I have the block separated as in this picture.
I also use a permanent loctite on the hose clamp* that comes with the kit, and then I position the pickup tube as shown.
*when the engine is already built. When the engine is BEING built for the deep sump, I weld the p/up tube in place
