Description:
Empi's new carb has been made for the off-road racer.
Baja 1000 tested without failure.
Score approved classes 1-2/1600, 5/1600, 9 & 11.
Includes a vent in the top of the carb, over the float. The old (stock location) vent tube has been removed and plugged.
The fuel inlet is threaded and the fitting is screwed into it.
Comes with dual return springs (one inside the other).
Comes jetted:
115 Air
120 Main*
55 idle
Empi says this carb should run at 2 1/2 to 3 psi fuel pressure
The choke assembly is removed and plugged.
You will still need to jet for your needs, if your engine is larger than 1600cc.
Consider a new barrel nut for the throttle cable (part# 311 129 777)
On an install we did, we added the collar you see around the allen head at the contact point for the idle speed screw. This extra thickness gave the idle speed screw a bit more room for adjustment.
Empi now provides the same spacer on the carb.
