Stainless steel mirror right outside type 1 (not designed to fit the convertible) 68-77.

Screws into the factory threaded hole in the door. No hole in your door? Don't buy this.
To make this a GREAT install we used a single cv joint bolt ridged washer between the mirror arm and the door mount. This prevents the mirror from moving at speeds above 35mph.
