We get a lot of engines that are cores & sometimes we decide not to build them.
A type 4 crank has 5 bolt holes & a locate hole for the locate pin for the flywheel. The bus crank also has a tapered end.
This is how we came to have this really nice crank.
I'd send it out for polishing and balance it (just because I balance every crank we build on).
It has both timing gears still on it.
