| Description: |
This engine brace attaches to the fender well area of the bug sedan with steel tabs. From those tabs, a pair of threaded L bars hang. On those L bars, a cross brace of chromed square steel tubing attaches. The cross brace is tightened into place by the threaded L's and is brought up snug against the bottom of the engine and heater boxes (if used). This extra brace reduces engine twist/flex. NOTE: I had one of these on my first bug as a kid and I have to tell you that this contraption transmits so much vibration through your car as to shake everything in the car loose. I threw mine away and used urethane mounts (like 9540) instead. |
