On the install shown here, I had to plug the alt stand with a tissue and use a Dremel to remove some material from the top of the alt stand.
By doing that, I was able to have the filler tightened down sufficiently and have the vent pointing in exactly the direction I needed.
Any other position of the vent nipple would have kinked the vent hose.
A smooth transition is important for unrestricted flow of crankcase gasses & pressures. |
