This adapter is what bolts to the block and then the oil cooling tower fastens to it. New.
Looks great. Says Taiwan on the Empi package. Don't know if it's made in Taiwan or just assembled there.
Comes with 4 late/late seals.
We just used one of these on an engine and have a few comments about the adapter:
Because we use 6mm wavy washers and nylock nuts on the 3 studs that fasten the doghouse style cooler to this adapter, we were NOT able to just bolt this up.
We had to unscrew the 3 studs and loctite them back in with a tad more stud sticking out than it came with. Now, when we fastened the cooler to the adapter, the studs just passed through the nylock of our nuts.
Because we also use 8mm wavy washers and nylock nuts on the 2 studs that pass through the engine block, we were NOT able to just bolt this to our engine.
We had to unscrew the 2 studs & replace them with slightly longer studs & loctite of course.
Now, when we fastened the adapter to the engine block, we had some stud just pass through the nylock of our nuts. |
