Empi's new premium extractors are made from 1 3/8" 16 gauge steel with extra thick flanges. Tubes are mandrel bent to insure smooth exhaust gas flow. All flanges are surface ground to ensure a flat sealing surface & finish ground on I.D.'s.
This flanged version requires your heater boxes or j-tubes be flanged (you'll love not having to mess with those clamps again). The 3 bolt muffler flange is at the 1:00 position & will accept a wide variety of mufflers and stingers.
Comes with high quality gaskets, stainless steel bolts and copper nuts to resist corrosion. This model is ceramic coated. Fits bug type engines.

Empi says that you should warm up and then allow a cool down period on any ceramic coating to "season" the ceramic prior to reaching any high rpm/temps. Otherwise some blemishing may occur. |
