You've added a new air filter to your engine (hope you bought it from us) and you want to hook up your crankcase ventilation hose from the oil filler to it.
Use this nice white nylon adapter elbow from Empi and drill a small hole in the air cleaner top or base and now you can hook that hose up without a kink.
Shown here, on an engine that has excessive crankcase pressure. This is a band-aid for that situation.
The engine's vacuum will swallow the pressure and slow or eliminate the oil leak behind the crank pulley.
Eventually, the source of the crankcase pressure (most likely rings or cylinders) will need to be fixed. |
