These are shouldered nuts (which help center the rim).
The shoulder allows penetration through the thick aluminum rim to reach the stud that you have in the drum.
Most aluminum street rims have a flat seat, so these nuts have a flat seat and come with a flat washer to turn on. That keeps the rims from being scuffed.
These have the same 12mm size stud that is stock on early style 5 lug pattern bugs.
The nuts screw on to the stud via a 12mm-1.5 pitch thread.
Empi packaged in a kit for 1 wheel. So if you are doing a whole car, you'll want to buy 4 of these. |
