This engine builders note: I recommend considering a copper racing head gasket (we sell .040 .050 .060 & .090 thick) on TOP of the cylinder anytime you are considering shimming a cylinder at the base. Bring the piston as far up in the cylinder as you can and get your same clearance in the combustion chamber by doing this. This lets the combustion process take place in the combustion chamber NOT in the cylinder. The more combustion that happens in the combustion chamber the more free horsepower you get. |
