repair kit - spring, KIT for clutch arm. EARLY 16mm urethane. Ok, this is a kit for replacing the stuff that keeps your throw out shaft rotating true in its bore. We put this kit on every single transmission we work on when we're replacing the throw out shaft.
Special note: this kit comes with a new locate bolt. Your old locate bolt may be longer than this one. If it is, USE IT instead of the short one.
For example: an early IRS bug trans uses an 18mm long bolt and this kit comes with a 15mm long bolt.
Another note: on some transmissions, the small, smooth side of the throw out shaft will need to be polished (or lightly sanded) to remove the factory coating, to enable the shaft to fit smoothly into the bore of the housing. |
